confront可以单独用吗
confront vt.出现在...面前； 面临； 遭遇；与...相对； 和...对抗； 使对证。作为及物动词，confront 可以单独做谓语动词，比如： My house confronts his. 我的家与他的家对门. A soldier has to confront danger and death. 军人必须勇敢而冷静地面对危险和死亡. confront 也可以和介词with 一起用，意思是“使面对……”，比如： The prisoner was confronted with...
