as在句子里一般表什么意思

如何区分不同句子中as的意思。

as 经常在句子中出现，但是同学们总是傻傻分不清楚到底是什么意思，因为as的意思比较多。但不管哪种意思，基本上都是连词。那我们知道连词是连接两个句子的所以就有一下几种情况：

1. as表示时间（时间状语从句），意思是随着，

例如：As an increasing number of people use mobile devices to read, newspaper is gradually disappearing.

2. as表示原因（原因状语从句），意思是由于

例如：Enjoying the first hour of the day is important as it sets the mood for the rest of the day.（享受一天的靠前个小时是很重要的，因为它为接下来的一天奠定了基调。）

3. as表示方式（方式状语从句），意思是像，以...的方式，

例如：Children should not be allowed to behave as they want.（孩子们不应该被允许为所欲为。）as引导一个句子来修饰动词behave，所以是方式状语。

4. as表示关系代词（特殊的定语从句），这里面as没有什么具体的意思。

例如：As you can see, we're still working.或者 They didn't finish the task, as you expected. 这里的as就像非限定性定语从句中的which，代表另外整句话。比如靠前句，as代表we’re still working，意思就是正如你看到的，我们还在工作。

5.另外 as的常见短语是 as...as，意思是和...一样，

例如：Teachers and peers in the school have as much influence as their parents do at home.（学校里的老师和同学和他们的父母在家里一样有影响力。）。
