有一个只有两岁的孩子，父亲逝世后，他的母亲再婚。他的继父不喜欢他，总是对他刻薄。有一天，孩子偷偷地拿了一块糖果，他心里想着这是他爸爸留给他的，因为他失去了父亲的记忆，只有这块糖果可以联系到他。继父发现后，非常生气，将孩子打了一顿。

译文：

There was a two-year-old child whose father had passed away. After his father's death, his mother remarried. His stepfather disliked him and was always cruel to him. One day, the child secretly took a piece of candy, thinking that it was left for him by his father. He had lost his memory of his father, and this piece of candy was the only connection he had to him. When his stepfather found out, he became very angry and beat the child.
