同样是肠子 intestine和bowel有什么区别

① 从一般意义上而言， bowel和intestine相同，intestine是The portion of the alimentary c*** extending from the stomach to the anus and, in humans and other mammals, consisting of two segments, the small intestine and the large intestine. 即包括大小肠；而bowel ＝The intestine；

② 但bowel也特指A part or pision of the intestine，即肠的一部分，而且解剖上特指是esp the large intestine in man，即人类的大肠。

③ 除了生理意思， intestine还有internal，或civil的意思，即内部事务的含义；而bowel则是he interior of something，物体的内部； intestine趋于抽象事物，而bowel则偏于具体的事物。
